1) Open Silverfast via Silverfast Launcher. - fig.1

2) In the General tab, set device to Epson perfectionV700. - fig.2

3) Set scan mode, either Normal or Batch. - fig.3

4) Select reflective for documents or transparency for negatives. - fig.4

5) Choose positive or negative based on media type. - fig.5

6) Film Type and Exposure allows you to choose the profile for the film you used (ex: Kodak Portra 160NC). - fig.6

7) In the Frame tab, set Scan Type depending on media (16 bit grayscale, 48 bit Color, etc). - fig.7

8) Turn off Filter settings to achieve a raw scan. - fig.8

9) Set target output size. - fig.9

10) The highest resolution for scanning is 6400 dpi. Any higher than this and the image will be interpolated. - fig.10

11) Once all of the settings have been selected, pre scan the negative. - fig.11

12) If batch scanning, click the frame finder icon and select the appropriate format. - fig.12

14) Select a save space and format (.TIF is the most common). - fig.14
